Information from The Jackson Laboratory

The Jackson Laboratory is the acknowledged international repository for mouse genomic/genetic information.  Research Affiliates receive facilitated access to the vast amount of information available from The Jackson Laboratory.

Mutant Mice can support a broad range of research areas including:

Autoimmunity
Hematopoiesis
Cancer
Cardiovascular Disease
Cystic Fibrosis
Dermatology

Developmental Defects
Enzyme Deficiencies
Immunodeficiency
Inflammation
Kidney Disease
Sensory Nervous System

  1. Disease Model Information:
    1. International Mouse Strain Resource (IMSR): The IMSR is a searchable online database of mouse strains and stocks available worldwide, including inbred, mutant, and genetically engineered mice. The goal of the IMSR is to assist the international scientific community in locating and obtaining mouse resources for research.
    2. Mouse Mutant Resource (MMR): MMR is the primary repository and characterizes new spontaneous mutations in mice that occur within the large breeding colonies of The Jackson Laboratory.
  2. Genomic/Genetic Database Information:
    1. Mouse Genome Database (MGD)
    2. Gene Expression Database (GXD)
    3. Mouse Tumor Biology Database (MTB)
  3. New Mouse Model:
    1. New mouse models have been accepted by The Jackson Laboratory,
    2. Mouse models go into production, and
    3. Mice are ready to be ordered.
  4. Jackson Laboratory publications include:
    1. Scientific Report: an annual report summarizing the most recent research studies and progress of all Jackson Laboratory research groups.
