On-site seminar
We will conduct one on-site seminar for each Gold member, tailored around new advances and resources to facilitate the better use of the laboratory mice.
Facilitated scientific interactions
Facilitated Scientific Interactions with our Research and Resource Scientists who can provide technical advice and assistance as needed.
Expedited access
Expedited access to disease model information, Jackson Laboratory databases containing comprehensive genomic information, and publications authored by Jackson Laboratory scientists.
Dedicated Affiliates email hot line
A special e-mail hotline exclusively dedicated to Research Affiliate members. The hotline is one-touch away from any inquiry at The Jackson Laboratory. Customer service, technical service, or general questions about using your benefits will be handled within one business day.
Discovery Strategies Conference series
This conference series is designed specifically for topics of interest to scientists in biomedical industry. Members are eligible for free admissions.
New mouse model alerts
The Research Affiliate members are provided with information on new mouse models, as they are received by The Jackson Laboratory's Induced Mutant Resource. Affiliates will learn when new mouse models have been accepted by the IMR, when they go into production, and when they are ready to order. Feedback from our Affiliates will be used to help us plan the size of the production colony, improve the availability of these models and, help us reduce the incidence of back orders.
Scientific courses & conferences
The Jackson Laboratory is committed to promote the latest scientific knowledge in mouse genetics and genomics, and encourage the free exchange of ideas among various disciplines. To fulfill this commitment, The Jackson Laboratory has a long history of hosting educational programs.
Gold-level members enjoy a number of free admissions to many of The Jackson Laboratory's world-renowned educational programs. Additionally, Gold-level members receive a 25% discount on all course and workshop registrations, and a 50% discount on registrations for other meetings.
Information offered by The Jackson Laboratory
The Jackson Laboratory is the acknowledged international repository for mouse genomic/genetic information. Research Affiliates receive facilitated access to the vast amount of information available from The Jackson Laboratory including:
- Disease model information
- International Mouse Strain Resource (IMSR): The IMSR is a searchable online database of mouse strains and stocks available worldwide, including inbred, mutant, and genetically engineered mice. The goal of the IMSR is to assist the international scientific community in locating and obtaining mouse resources for research.
- Mouse Mutant Resource (MMR): MMR is the primary repository and characterizes new spontaneous mutations in mice that occur within the large breeding colonies of The Jackson Laboratory.
- Genomic/genetic database information
- New mouse model alerts
Email alerts will be sent out when:- New mouse models have been accepted by The Jackson Laboratory,
- Mouse models go into production, and
- Mice are ready to be ordered.
- Printed information
- Notice of upcoming Jackson Laboratory courses and conferences.
- Copies of written materials distributed during Jackson Laboratory courses and scientific meetings.
- Lists of titles published papers authored by The Jackson Laboratory scientists.
