The Jackson Laboratory expands West Coast presence with new Sacramento facility
The Jackson Laboratory—West, located in California, opened its doors several years ago and for nearly a decade now has supported the West Coast research community with a local supply of many popular JAX® Mice strains as well as mouse breeding and in vivo research services. To keep pace with the explosive growth in biomedical research on the West Coast we opened a much expanded facility in Sacramento, CA in early 2009.
This new, state-of-the-art facility provides increased production of an expanded selection of JAX® Mice strains. The facility also provides additional space for significantly expanded colony management and drug efficacy testing and phenotyping services, and more extensive in vivo services offerings, including cancer and stem cell research. The facility is fully AAALAC accredited and OLAW assured.
