Announcing improvements to JAX® Mice Strain Data Sheets

We are happy to announce that JAX® Mice Strain Data Sheets now feature a new tabbed format beginning September 12th! This new format is designed to allow ultimate flexibility while moving in and out of the data sheets.

Each data sheet features seven tabs. The top area of the data sheet will remain the same as you toggle through each tab. Below are descriptions of the content found within each tab area. When you hold the cursor over a tab a ‘popup’ description of the tab contents will appear. Similarly, the indicated availability level of a strain features a popup explaining the details of the strain's availability when you hold the cursor over the text.

Description tab

  • Contains strain description, general information, related strains, and additional web links
  • Tab also includes a representative image of the strain (when available)

Phenotype tab

  • Includes OMIM terms, mammalian phenotype terms, and research applications
  • Phenotypic data

Genes & alleles

  • This tab features genes & alleles of interest with links to further information in the Mouse Genome Informatics (MGI) database

Genotyping

  • Contains available genotyping protocols

Health & Husbandry

  • Within this are animal health reports for the relevant barrier facility
  • Information on diet and other colony maintenance notes is found here

References

  • All references appear on a single page, and indicate whether the reference is to the strain or to the gene.

Purchasing Information

  • Pricing can now be easily selected according to your shipping destination right from this tab
  • If you select a shipping destination within a search, the search results display region-appropriate pricing.
  • Control information
  • Pricing and genotypes organized to indicate the available sexes for each available genotype
