Two Restored JAX® Mice Strains Now Available
JAX® NOTES Issue 507, Fall 2007
In the Spring issue of JAX® NOTES (JAX® NOTES 2007), we indicated that two JAX® Mice strains were being restored with stocks derived from embryos cryopreserved early in the history of those strains. We are pleased to announce that the two strains have been restored and are now available for distribution. The first strain, B6CBA-Tg(HDexon1)62Gpb/1J (002810), a Huntington disease (HD) model, has retained the old name and stock number; the old strain has been given a new name and stock number, B6CBA-Tg(HDexon1)62Gpb/3J (006494). The second strain, MRL/MpJ-Faslpr/J (000485), a lupus-like model, has also retained the old name and stock number; the old strain has been given a new name and stock number, MRL/MpJ-Faslpr/2J (006825).
We will continue to distribute mice from the old colonies as long as our customers need them. For more information or to order these strains, please contact our Customer Service department at 1-800-422-6423 or 1-207-288-5845.
