JAX® NOTES Issue 509, Spring 2008

Mouse Genome Informatics (MGI) recently published an online version of the book Biology of the Laboratory Mouse by the Staff of The Jackson Laboratory, edited by Earl L. Green. Available online, this book is a valuable source of information for mouse biology. The 33 chapters cover husbandry, anatomy, development, reproductive physiology, biochemistry, pathology, immunity, and behavioral traits of the laboratory mouse. The online version is thoroughly indexed and linked to Gene Detail and references pages at MGI, and PubMed. The book joins online versions of four out-of-print books: The Anatomy of the Laboratory Mouse by Margaret J. Cook, Mouse Genetics by Lee Silver, The Coat Colors of Mice by Willys K. Silvers, and Origins of Inbred Mice, edited by Herbert C. Morse III.
