Founded in 1929 as a cancer research facility, The Jackson Laboratory has been an NCI-designated Cancer Center since 1983. Our extensive resources for cancer research include the Mouse Tumor Biology and other publically accessible databases, several annual training courses, and over 400 mouse models of cancer.
JAX also offers highly customizable preclinical oncology services for evaluating novel anticancer therapies, phenotyping services, a broad collection non-invasive test platforms for evaluating clinically relevant disease endpoints, and pathology services that include comprehensive analyses by board-certified veterinary pathologists.
