Mice at The Jackson Laboratory are fed Old Guilford Laboratory Animal Diets formulated to the Laboratory's specifications by the Emory Morse Company in Guilford, Connecticut. In October 1988 a change in source of milk protein was made from 50% dried, non-fat skim milk plus 50% casein to 100% dried, non-fat skim milk.
