Notice to the Recipient JAX Strain 004326. This colony of IL10 deficient mice is maintained in isolators under conditions which preserve the presence of potentially strain-unique enteric flora required for the development of IBD. This includes the presence of Helicobacter species in this conventional SPF stock which marks the presence of the additional microbiota required for colitis development.
The colony is located in mouse room WR1 which is an isolator facility located in our West Sacramento, California (JAX® West) operation. This mouse room houses mice in isolators for contract projects performed by JAX® Services. Each isolator within this mouse room is subject to a comprehensive health monitoring regimen and as a result, each isolator has its own health report. Please contact JAX®Services if you wish to obtain a copy of the health report for this colony.
If the health status of these mice prevents their importation into your vivarium, our In Vivo Research Services experts can dose mice with prophylactic or therapeutic compounds and harvest cecum and colon tissue for histopathological analysis of lesion severity. Contact JAX® Services to inquire about this service.
