Non-profit institutions, universities and hospitals do not need to obtain a license from Artemis to purchase STRAINS. The Jackson Laboratory has been advised by Artemis that these STRAINS can be made available to nonprofit institutions but only for non-commercial research.

Purchase and use of STRAINS by companies or for profit entities requires a license from Artemis prior to shipping.
