This mouse strain (including any and all progeny, "MICE") is distributed by The Jackson Laboratory with the following terms and conditions.

MICE are available for internal academic research use but not for a COMMERCIAL PURPOSE.

COMMERCIAL PURPOSE means use of the MICE by any organization, including recipient, to perform contract research, to produce or manufacture products processes, or services for general sale or other commercial provision, or to conduct research activities that result in any sale, lease, license, or transfer of the MICE to a for-profit organization. Commercial research includes research done at a not-for-profit entity with funding or sponsored research provided by a commercial entity.

Use of MICE for a COMMERCIAL PURPOSE by not-for-profit entities or for-profit entities requires a license from Mayo Foundation for Medical Education and Research ("MAYO") prior to shipping, contact for license inquiries:

As a service to the biomedical research community, JACKSON provides these mice to Recipient solely for research use. Recipient understands that supply of the MICE does not include a license under any relevant patent rights. Recipient further understands that it is permitted to use MICE for internal research purposes only. Use of these MICE for commercial purposes or by a for-profit entity will require a license from MAYO. In addition, Recipients may not (a) resell MICE; or (b) transfer any MICE to a third party; or (c) breed MICE for sale or distribution to a third party, including any cross-bred mice.

THESE MICE ARE EXPERIMENTAL IN NATURE AND NEITHER JACKSON NOR MAYO MAKE ANY REPRESENTATIONS AND EXTEND NO WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR ANY WARRANTY OF NON-INFRINGEMENT OF ANY PATENT, TRADEMARK, OR OTHER INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS.

In no event shall JACKSON or MAYO be liable for any use of the MICE, and Recipient hereby agrees to defend, indemnify and hold JACKSON and MAYO harmless from any loss, claim, damage, or liability which may arise from Recipient's use, storage and disposal of the MICE.
