MICE are made available for research use on behalf of the West Coast Licensing Bundling Partnership but not for any Commercial Purpose as defined herein.  Commercial Purposes means use of MICE by any organization, including recipient, to perform contract research to produce or manufacture products for general sale, or to conduct research activities that result in any sale, lease, license, or transfer of the MICE to a for-profit organization.  However, industrially sponsored academic research shall not be considered a use of the MICE for Commercial Purposes per se unless any of the above conditions to this definition are met.

 

COMMERCIAL USE OF MICE REQUIRES A LICENSE; A "BUNDLE LICENSE" IS AVAILABLE FOR THIS GROUP OF MICE.

Strain license details available at: http://www.flintbox.com/technology.asp?Page=3543 As a service to the biomedical research community, The Jackson Laboratory ("JACKSON") provides these MICE to Recipient solely for research purposes.  Recipient agrees that the MICE and their descendants, if any, will not be bred for sale nor distributed to any third parties outside the recipient's institution, and will be used solely for research purposes.  The original source of the MICE are the INSTITUTIONS.

THESE MICE ARE EXPERIMENTAL IN NATURE AND JACKSON MAKES NO REPRESENTATION AND EXTENDS NO WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR ANY WARRANTY OF NON-INFRINGEMENT OF ANY PATENT, TRADEMARK, OR OTHER INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS.

 

In no event shall JACKSON or INSTITUTIONS be liable for any use of the MICE, and recipient hereby agrees to defend, indemnify and hold JACKSON and INSTITUTIONS harmless from any loss, claim, damage, or liability which may arise from Recipient's use, storage and disposal of the MICE.
