This mouse MICE (including any and all progeny, "MICE") is distributed by The Jackson Laboratory with the following terms and conditions.

MICE are not available to Companies or For Profit Entities.

MICE are available to Not-for-Profit Institutions for internal research use but not for any Commercial Purpose. Commercial Purposes shall include uses of the MICE, including cross-bred progeny by any organization, including recipient, to perform contract research, to produce or manufacture products, processes, or services for general sale or other commercial provision, or to conduct research activities that result in any sale, lease, license, or transfer of the MICE including cross-bred progeny to a for-profit organization. However, industrially-sponsored academic research shall not be considered a use of the MICE for Commercial Purposes per se, unless any of the above conditions of this definition are met.

As a service to the biomedical research community, The Jackson Laboratory (JACKSON) provides the MICE to recipient solely for research purposes. Recipient agrees that MICE and progeny, if any, will not be bred for sale nor distributed to any third parties outside the recipient's institution, and will be used solely for research purposes. The original source of the MICE is Yale University (INSTITUTION). The MICE was created in a Howard Hughes Medical Institute ("HHMI") laboratory at INSTITUTION.

THE MICE IS EXPERIMENTAL IN NATURE AND JACKSON AND INSTITUTION MAKE NO REPRESENTATION AND EXTENDS NO WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR ANY WARRANTY OF NON-INFRINGEMENT OF ANY PATENT, TRADEMARK, OR OTHER INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS.

In no event shall JACKSON, HHMI, or INSTITUTION be liable for any use of the MICE, and recipient hereby agrees to defend, indemnify and hold JACKSON, HHMI and INSTITUTION harmless from any loss, claim, damage, or liability which may arise from recipient's use, storage and disposal of the MICE.
