Are You and Your Mice Ready for Anything?

pandemic flu... floods... fires... tornadoes... hurricanes... earthquakes... power outages... disease outbreaks... equipment failure... genetic contamination... breeding problems... spontaneous phenotype loss...

It's not too late to Implement a Disaster Planning and Preparedness Program

Are your research studies and unique mouse strains safe from these unforeseen disasters? How would your research be affected if your mice were suddenly lost? It's not too late to implement a Disaster Planning and Preparedness Program. . . and we can help. To begin, you should cryopreserve your strains with a reliable method that can quickly recover them when needed, and store the cryopreserved samples off site. Our Sperm Cryo Service or new Sperm Cryo Kit can get you there. Either way, we test-recover and store cryopreserved sperm from your strain(s) in several tanks and locations. When you need your mice back, our Cryo Recovery Service can produce live mice in as little as nine weeks, and our Speed Expansion Service can rapidly return large cohorts to you to restore a colony lost to disaster. All recovered mice will be specific and opportunistic pathogen-free (SOPF). To date we've cryopreserved and recovered over 5,000 genetically modified strains on 50 backgrounds using our Sperm Cryo method. Who else would you trust your mice to?
