Recovering cryopreserved embryos
Cryopreserved embryos are now available for select strains of JAX® Mice. Each embryo shipment contains recovery rate data, enough embryos for two embryo transfers, and detailed recovery protocols. Although experienced technicians at The Jackson Laboratory have successfully recovered cryopreserved embryos from these strains, successful recovery at your facility is not guaranteed. We recommend that the embryos be recovered by an experienced technician and that he or she closely follow the enclosed protocols: any deviation from these protocols may jeopardize embryo recovery. Ordering embryos
Orders for embryos will be processed when you return a signed agreement form to our Customer Service Department. If you cancel your order before we ship the embryos, you will be charged a cancellation fee (to cover costs of processing your order). If you are not able to successfully recover the embryos at your facility, you will need to place a new order. Embryos are supplied subject to the General Terms and Conditions. Shipping & receiving
We ship cryopreserved embryos in a special container called a dry shipper. The shipper contains a return label. Use this label to return the shipper to us immediately after you receive your embryos. If you do not mail the shipper back to us within a week of receiving your embryos, you will be responsible for the replacement cost.
