The Grip Strength test measures muscle strength and neuromuscular integration relating to the grasping reflex in the forepaws.
Using a Grip Strength Meter from Columbus Instruments, we can evaluate effects of genetic mutations or novel compounds on degenerative neuromuscular diseases.
Each mouse is tested in 5 sequential trials and the highest grip strength is recorded as the best run.
