Rederivation services

The health status of laboratory mice is a concern for researchers and laboratory animal veterinarians alike. In order to ensure a uniform health status within the animal facility, most institutions follow stringent guidelines for the importation and maintenance of laboratory animals. Rederivation of animals of undesirable health status is an important step in maintaining a high health status animal facility. We offer two distinct services for investigators who want to eliminate specific pathogens from their breeding colonies.

for transgenic, knock out and single gene mutation mice

We can quickly rederive your strain using in vitro fertilization (IVF) and offer you Sperm Cryopreservation with three years of storage at no extra cost.

Advantages
  • Fast turnaround time (12 to 14 weeks)
  • Only 2 fertile carrier males required from your colony
  • We will provide you a minimum of 10 rederived mice
  • We provide a comprehensive animal health report with the shipment of your rederived mice
