Strain Description
This congenic strain develops chronic and relapsing experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE) after immunization with myelin basic protein (MBP). Susceptibility is associated with the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) allele, H2^r, the T cell receptor V b8 chain, and other non MHC loci. This strain also is susceptible to induction of collagen-induced arthritis.
