Related Genotype: a/aDescription
In this congenic strain, the A/WySn H2 complex (H2a), including the nonclassical class 1 T18a (thymus leukemia (TL) antigen) locus, on chromosome 17 was introgressed onto the C57BL/10SnSg background. H2a is a recombinant haplotype and occurs in the A inbred strains. The H2a haplotype contains the following alleles: class I K - k, class II A and E - k, class I D - d, and nonclassical loci Qa and T18 - a. In contrast to this congenic, C57BL/6 and C57BL/10 mice carry a natural deletion of the T18 (T18b) gene. Mice congenic for H2 haplotypes are widely used in immunologic research and often vary in immune response and pathogen susceptibility from the recipient strain.Development
In this congenic strain, the A/WySn H2 complex (H2a), including the class 1 T18a (thymus leukemia (TL) antigen) locus, on chromosome 17 was introgressed onto the C57BL/10SnSg background for 10+ generations.
