Type Congenic; Mutant Strain; Targeted Mutation; Additional information on Genetically Engineered Mutant Mice. Species laboratory mouse Donating Investigator Michele Pagano, New York Un School of Medicine Description
Mice homozygous for the transgenic insert are viable, fertile, normal in size and do not display any gross physical or behavioral abnormalities. These transgenic mice express human SKP2 under the direction of the mouse Cd4 minimal promoter/enhancer. Transgene expression occurs in thymus and peripheral lymphoid organs. This strain represents an effective tool for generating double transgenic mice that would be useful to study SKP2 interactions in carcinogenesis.Development
A transgenic construct containing the human SKP2 gene, and the mouse Cd4 minimal promoter/enhancer was injected into fertilized B6D2F1 mouse eggs.
